Toys "R" Us Stores to Host Toy Drive for Wolfson Children's Hospital on Sunday, March 13
Jacksonville, Fla., March 4, 2005 - All three Jacksonville-area Toys "R" Us stores will hold a toy drive
from 12 noon until 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, to help provide patients in Wolfson Children's Hospital
with new toys to play with during their stay in the hospital.
"We are thrilled to host this toy drive to help create a more comfortable atmosphere for kids
during their stay at Wolfson's Children's Hospital," said Eric Stenger, Special Events Coordinator for
Toys "R" Us in Jacksonville. "This shopping event provides residents of Jacksonville with an easy way to
give back to the community and help out some of the most important members - the children."
Toys "R" Us, with the help of the hospital, created a gift registry for Wolfson Children's Hospital
that is accessible at all of the local stores. Customers can stop into any of the Jacksonville Toys "R" Us
stores, purchase an item or items from the gift registry and Toys "R" Us will send the items to the hospital.
Geoffrey will also be on hand at the beginning of each hour to greet customers and thank them for their generous
contribution.
"We are so grateful to the people at Toys "R" Us for hosting this toy drive," said Larry Freeman,
Administrator of Wolfson Children's Hospital. "No child wants to be in the hospital, but these toys
will go a long way by letting our patients laugh and play like all children need to do."
The Jacksonville Toys "R" Us stores are
located at 9600 Atlantic Boulevard (904-721-7829),
1972 Wells Road in Orange Park (904 -276-5492), and 10370 Philips Highway (904-292-0069).
