Baptist Occupational Health Announces Opening of New Office on Amelia Island
Jacksonville, Florida, June 20, 2006 -
Baptist Occupational Health, Inc.,
a Baptist Health subsidiary specializing in occupational health services, has announced the opening of a new Fernandina Beach office that will offer area businesses local expertise in the field of professional and industrial medicine.
The new office will be named Baptist Occupational Health Nassau, and opened its doors on June 19th at 1864 Lime Street, Suite 6, Fernandina Beach.
Holly Hamilton, MD,
will serve as the full time-provider specializing in occupational health services. Hamilton, a graduate of East Tennessee State University, has been a resident of Amelia Island for the past three years. She most recently practiced in Brunswick, GA, and brings with her an extensive background in caring for work-related injuries.
"We're excited to have Baptist Occupational Health Nassau on our campus, since it offers our community different services from the typical family practice. It is dedicated exclusively to businesses whose needs include care for employees with work-related injuries, physicals, rehabilitation and other occupational health issues, and its goal is to care for patients and help them get back to work as quickly and safely as possible," says Jim Mayo, administrator of

The full range of services will include Worker's Compensation injury; occupational health; drug screenings; pre-employment physicals; DOT physicals; second opinions; fit-for-duty evaluations; functional capacity exams; pension evaluations; return-to-work evaluations; an Industrial Outreach program; corporate and executive health programs, and more.
Office hours are Monday thru Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Walk-ins covered under Workers Compensation are accepted, as are pre-employment, annual and Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals, and employee drug screenings.
