Palm Avenue at Gary Street Near Baptist Downtown Temporarily Closes for JEA Construction

Jacksonville, Florida, December 21, 2006 -- In preparation for construction of a Jacksonville Electric Authority switching cabinet on the Aetna ground parking lot across from Baptist Medical Center Downtown (Baptist Downtown), a portion of Palm Avenue will close December 26-29, 2006. Palm Avenue will reopen on December 30, 2006.

Patients, visitors and tenants of Baptist Medical Center Downtown will be able to access Parking Garage A (Palm Avenue Garage) using the following routes:

From the I-95 off-ramp (San Marco Blvd. exit), continue down Gary Street and turn left on San Marco Blvd., then left on Prudential Drive and left on Palm Avenue.

If coming from the San Marco area, proceed down San Marco Blvd., take a left on Prudential Drive, and a left on Palm Avenue.

Likewise, Baptist Downtown employees will be able to access the Riverfront Garage from the same routes.

In addition, sidewalks along Palm Avenue will be closed effective Tuesday, December 26, 2006, and will not reopen until early February due to JEA construction.
