Four New Members Join Baptist Health Foundation Board of Trustees
Jacksonville, Florida, March 6, 2007 -- Paul Bosland, Chris Ball, Lisa Epstein and Kurt Mori, MD, have joined the Board of Trustees of Baptist Health Foundation. The board is comprised of community volunteers who are dedicated to the mission of Baptist Health Foundation, which was founded in 1985 to support current and future community health care needs through philanthropy and fundraising.
Bosland, a resident of Fernandina Beach, is a retired financial executive and independent financial consultant who currently serves as the board chair of Baptist Medical Center Nassau. He is the former chairman of the Board of Directors of Wolfson Children's Hospital and has served on numerous other hospital and foundation boards. In addition, he is the former president and chief executive officer for Princeton Trust Company, an affiliate of Chemical Bank. Bosland is a graduate of Brown University with a bachelor of arts degree in Economics, and obtained his master of business administration degree from New York University's Graduate School of Business.
Mrs. Ball and her husband, Willis (Billy) Ball, are founding members of the Dreamcoat Society of Wolfson Children's Hospital. A Jacksonville resident, Mrs. Ball has served on various boards and volunteered for organizations throughout Jacksonville, including the American Cancer Society, The Bolles School, The Women's Board of Wolfson Children's Hospital, University of North Florida Foundation, Jacksonville Zoological Society and Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. She is currently serving as Garden Week chair for the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens and is a member of Master Gardner Program at the University of Florida Extension. Mrs. Ball is an alumnus of both Hollins University, where she earned a bachelor of arts degree, and the University of North Florida, where she engaged in post-baccalaureate studies.
In 2005, Mrs. Epstein and her husband Barry supported Baptist Health's Expanding Our Circle of Care Campaign with a gift that helped name the Wilson/Epstein Center for Diagnostic and Rehabilitation Services at Baptist Medical Center Beaches (Baptist Beaches). Baptist Beaches has also been the beneficiary of other gifts from the Epsteins, who are Ponte Vedra Beach residents. Mrs. Epstein serves as 2007 co-chair of the American Lung Association's Oxygen Ball and serves on the organizing committee for Splash, a Baptist Beaches fundraiser.
A Jacksonville resident, Dr. Mori is a board-certified radiologist who has been a member of the Baptist Medical Center Downtown medical staff since 1982. He received his medical degree from New York Medical College and completed a rotating internship at Medical College of Ohio at Toledo. This was followed by a residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Michigan Medical Center, where he also completed his fellowship in computerized tomography and ultrasound. Following additional fellowship training in angiography and interventional radiology at the University of California at San Diego, he relocated to Jacksonville. Dr. Mori holds additional certification in vascular and interventional radiology and practices with Drs. Mori, Bean, and Brooks, P.A. He serves as medical director of Baptist Downtown's Vascular Lab and Special Procedures Lab. He has published numerous scientific articles and book chapters.
