Baptist Heart Hospital Featured at International Cardiac Conference in May
Facility's Unique Design and Integrated Services to Be Profiled
Jacksonville, Florida, March 28, 2007 -- Baptist Heart Hospital at Baptist Medical Center Downtown will be the featured destination of an upcoming international cardiac care conference hosted by Active Communications International.
The professional conference, scheduled for May 3-4, 2007, offers attendees information on implementing successful cardiac-related programs and will include a case study on Baptist Heart Hospital.
Cannon Design, which developed the 175,000-square-foot, four-story downtown facility, will profile the Heart Hospital during a presentation on "Integrating Design Concepts to Achieve Competitive Advantage and Maximize Quality of Care." An interactive tour will also be a part of the event.
The newest addition to Baptist Health, Baptist Heart Hospital opened in October 2005 offering a full continuum of cardiac care -- from prevention to advanced medical and surgical care to rehabilitation. The facility provides the latest technology and equipment, along with patient- and family-friendly amenities to promote healing.
Among the features:
88 private patient rooms with tranquil river views and family sleepover amenities

Specially designed family lounges
Three video-equipped, "smart" operating suites

"Baptist Heart Hospital's unique design not only facilitates the delivery of coordinated, high-quality cardiac care, but also provides a tranquil, riverfront environment for our patients and families," says Joe Mitrick, administrator of Baptist Medical Center Downtown.
