Jacksonville, Florida, April 18, 2007 -- Baptist Health and WJCT Public Broadcasting are teaming up again to host the seventh annual Speaking of Women's Health® conference, a one-day event "dedicated to educating women to make informed decisions about their health, well-being and personal safety." This year's conference will take place on Saturday, August 18, from 8 am to 4 pm at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront.
Speaking of Women's Health features dynamic keynote speakers, more than a dozen breakout sessions with local and national experts, and free personal screenings. The annual event sells out earlier every year, so women are encouraged to get their tickets now. Tickets are available for $35 through the Early Bird Ticket Sale, which takes place on May 2 from 9 am to 4 pm. Tickets purchased after May 2 are $40. All tickets are available for purchase online by clicking here, or by calling 904.549.2938. The ticket price includes continental breakfast, lunch and gift-filled canvas bag.
This year's event will focus on the theme, "It's the Right Time... Be Strong, Be Healthy, Be in Charge," and will seek to educate women that small changes, done consistently, add up to years of improved quality of days, and increase the quality of their weeks, months and years.
Honorary chair for the 2007 event is Elana Schrader, MD. Dr. Schrader is Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida's vice president of Provider Services, accountable for the servicing of over 30,000 physicians and hospitals across the state of Florida. She is active in a number of civic and community organizations, and has been a member of the Speaking of Women's Health Steering Committee for several years.
