Business Leader A. Chester "Chip" Skinner, III, Is Named Chair of Baptist Medical Center South Board
Jacksonville, Florida, April 17, 2007 -- Baptist Health is pleased to announce that A. Chester "Chip" Skinner, III, has been named chairman of the Baptist Medical Center South Board of Directors.
Skinner is the owner/president of Skinner Bros. Realty Co., a real estate consulting, investment and brokerage firm. Prior to opening his business, he was an officer of Regency Centers, a publicly traded real estate investment trust.
Skinner currently serves on the Advisory Board of Mercantile Bank and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) of the National Association of Realtors, and a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP).
Skinner's civic activities include serving as vice chairman of the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army, past chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Bolles School, past Board chairman of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and past president of the San Jose Youth Athletic Association. He and his family are active members of Christ Church, PCA.
Skinner is a native of Jacksonville and a graduate of The Bolles School and the Georgia Institute of Technology.
