Internist Jess Arcenas, MD, Joins Baptist Primary Care
Opens Baptist South Internal Medicine
Jacksonville, Florida, June 6, 2007 -- Board-certified internal medicine physician Jesus "Jess" Arcenas, MD, has joined Baptist Primary Care and has opened Baptist South Internal Medicine. His office is in Suite 215 in the Scott & Paryani Building at Baptist Medical Center South, located at 14546 Old St. Augustine Road. Preventive health exams, immunizations, chronic disease management and medical care for patients 18 years of age and older are available Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. His office will be open on June 25, 2007.
Dr. Arcenas earned his medical degree from Cebu Institute of Medicine in Cebu, Philippines. He completed his internship and his internal medicine residency at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health, Cornell Medical Program, in New York City.
Prior to joining Baptist Primary Care, Dr. Arcenas was affiliated with Southeast Georgia Physician Associates in St. Marys, Georgia. Dr. Arcenas' previous experience includes hospital-based practice, as well as providing emergency room, urgent care and nursing home patient care.
"In this complex world of dynamic medicine, staying current with what is standard of care is part of what a primary care provider should do, but I believe that being thorough and caring is quite important, as well," Dr. Arcenas says.
