Baptist Medical Center South Hosts Outpatient Class Series on Diabetes Year-Round

Jacksonville, Florida, September 14, 2007 -- Baptist Medical Center South now offers an Outpatient Diabetes Education Program.

Led by certified diabetes educators, the program seeks to help people with diabetes learn how to control their disease and improve their overall health. Group sessions will include education on blood glucose monitoring; diabetes medications; meal planning; physical activity; stress management and preventing complications. In addition, participants have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a registered dietitian.
