Baptist Health Welcomes New Staff to Behavioral Health Department
Jacksonville, Florida, September 24, 2007 -- Baptist Health's department of Behavioral Health welcomes three new staff members.
Rebecca Farinas, MD, will join the staff at the Beach and University Blvd. offices. Dr. Farinas earned a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of North Florida and a medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She received a general residency training postgraduate fellowship, as well as a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship from the Menninger Department of Psychiatry, Baylor College of Medicine, in Houston.
Jason Schmotzer, PsyD, will join the Baptist Health staff at the San Marco, University Blvd. and Nassau offices. Dr. Schmotzer's undergraduate degree in psychology is from Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania; his doctor of psychology degree is from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. He provides psychological services to both children and adults.
Polly Mitchell, LMHC, will join the University Blvd. and Baptist South offices. She earned her bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in education from the University of North Florida. Ms. Mitchell has experience working with children and families in community and behavioral health settings and provides therapy to both children and adults.
