Kristi Bageant-Epperson, Richard Myers, MD, Join Baptist Medical Center South Board of Directors

Jacksonville, Florida, April 14, 2008 -- Kristi Bageant-Epperson, an executive with Citibank, and Richard Myers, MD, a Baptist Health gynecologist, recently joined the Baptist Medical Center South Board of Directors.

Bageant-Epperson is president for the Jacksonville Citi site and state officer for Florida, responsible for community and government relations, site work environment, and the overall culture for more than 4,800 employees. In addition, she is the head of Network Management for Citibank North America. In this role, Bageant-Epperson is responsible for the day-to-day management of branch operations, network strategies, overall network and capacity planning across Citibank's 1,000+ branches, communications, training and the overall customer experience for CBNA.

Bageant-Epperson plays a significant role in the Jacksonville philanthropic sector. She leads and supports volunteerism and funding for 40+ non-profit organizations with the 4,800 Citi employees in Jacksonville. She was recently appointed to the United Way Board of Trustees, and has served on the board of the Clara White Mission for the past five years;; she served as the mission's vice-chair in 2006 and 2007.

In addition to serving on Baptist South's Board, Bageant-Epperson is currently on the Board of Directors for the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce and is serving as the board treasurer for 2008. In 2007, she acted as the head of Business Recruitment for Cornerstone. "We are very excited to have someone of Kristi's background join our Board," says Baptist South Administrator Ron Robinson, FACHE. "As a not-for profit community hospital, we feel her community involvement is important to our overall mission. She is someone who also brings experience with her from a large corporate setting which will benefit us in many ways. Most importantly, she is a quality person who shares our values."

Dr. Myers is affiliated with North Florida Obstetrical & Gynecological Associates, P.A., serving as its president from 2002-2004.

He has served as a consultant to Ethicon Women's Health and Urology; clinical investigator for Jacksonville Center for Clinical Research; clinical associate professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Florida at Jacksonville; and principal investigator for the pharmaceutical companies of Glaxo Smith Kline, Bayer, as well as for numerous other research projects.

He is a member of American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology; American Society for Colposcopy & Cervical Pathology; Duval County Medical and OB/GYN Societies; North American Menopause Society; Christian Medical Dental Society; and American Urogynecologic Society. He was a volunteer gynecologic surgeon on the Mercy Ship in Monrovia, Liberia.
