Howard C. Serkin Joins Baptist Medical Center Beaches' Board of Directors

Jacksonville, Florida, April 14 2008 -- Howard C. Serkin, principal and senior advisor to the Business Valuation and Heritage Capital Group, was recently welcomed as a member of the Baptist Medical Center Beaches' Board of Directors.

Serkin lectures extensively on varied financial topics. In 1987, he became the first executive-in-residence and visiting professor for the University of North Florida's (UNF) College of Business Administration. He continues to serve as executive-in-residence and executive professor for the college, as well as serving as a member of UNF's Board of Trustees.

Serkin's leadership positions on civic boards are numerous, and include serving on the Board of Directors of the Museum of Science and History; Art Assembly of Jacksonville; Leadership Jacksonville; United Way; and Big Brothers and Big Sisters. He also serves as co-chairman of the Economic Development Committee of the new Downtown Jacksonville Master Plan.
