Orange Park Pediatrics Joins Baptist Primary Care
Jacksonville, Florida, April 1, 2009 -- Orange Park Pediatrics, a multi-physician practice with two office locations, has joined Baptist Primary Care. The practices, located at 2140 Smith Street in Orange Park and 6353 Argyle Forest Blvd., Suite 4, in west Jacksonville, is comprised of five pediatricians and two nurse practitioners. They are: Charles Dellinger, MD; Richard Gehret, MD; Shiree Sauer, MD; Dan Spearman, MD; and Rhonda Woolwine, MD; Michele Muskus, ARNP, and Marianne Davenport, ARNP.
Dr. Dellinger received his medical degree from the University of Florida and completed his pediatric training at Shands Teaching Hospital in Gainesville. He is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric hematology/oncology. Dr. Dellinger taught medical students as an instructor and clinical assistant professor at the University of Florida. He has been active in many Orange Park sports programs, including Little League Baseball and Pop Warner football, and has a local Little League field named after him. Dr. Dellinger currently serves as a high school football referee and he and Dick Bultman, MD, have taken care of the Orange Park High School football team for more than 20 years.
Dr. Gehret received his medical degree from the University of Miami and did post-graduate training in pediatrics. He served in the U.S. Navy and became board-certified in pediatrics in 1980. Dr. Gehret has been in private practice with Orange Park Pediatrics since 1982.
Dr. Spearman received his medical degree from the University of Florida. He did his internship and residency in pediatrics at Shands Teaching Hospital affiliated with the University of Florida on Gainesville. He became board-certified in pediatrics in 1981. Dr. Spearman has been in private practice with Orange Park Pediatrics since it began in 1975.
Dr. Woolwine received her medical degree from the University of Florida and completed her residency and internship at Pitt County Memorial, Greenville, North Carolina, and the University of Florida Health Science Center in Jacksonville. She is a board-certified pediatrician and has been in private practice with Orange Park Pediatrics since 1993.
Dr. Sauer received her medical degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She did her residency and internship at Hasbro Children's Hospital, Brown University, in Providence, Rhode Island. She is a board-certified pediatrician and has been in private practice with Orange Park Pediatrics since 1996.
Ms. Muskus completed her undergraduate nursing education at the University of Cincinnati and received a Master of Science degree in nursing from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. She did post-master's training as a pediatric nurse practitioner at the University of Florida and is licensed as a nurse practitioner in both pediatrics and psychiatric/mental health. Ms. Muskus joined Orange Park Pediatrics in 1999. She provides general pediatric services with a portion of her time devoted to behavioral evaluations, counseling and case management.
Ms. Davenport was trained as an Army nurse and U.S. Public Health Service officer. She earned a bachelor;s degree in Nursing from the University of Maryland/Walter Reed Army Institute of Nursing, a pediatric nurse practitioner certificate from the University of Virginia and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Ms. Davenport is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner with 30 years' experience. In addition to working at Orange Park Pediatrics, Marianne and her daughter established Hope Therapy, providing occupational therapy to children with special needs using horses.
