Baptist Medical Center Downtown Offers New "MRI at Night" Program
Outpatient MRIs Now Available 24/7

Jacksonville, Florida, June 17, 2009 -- To serve patients who don't want to miss their 9-to-5 jobs and those with non-traditional schedules, Baptist Medical Center Downtown now offers an outpatient "MRI at Night" program from 11 pm - 7 am, seven days a week, in its new MRI Imaging Center. It is the first and only program of its kind in the Jacksonville area.

"This is an innovative, new option we are offering so people can get their MRI scan when it's convenient to them, no matter what their schedule," says Robert Perez, director of Imaging Services at Baptist Downtown. "We believe patients will appreciate our extended hours, and physician offices will appreciate the accessibility of the new program."

To ensure a high level of convenience and safety, "MRI at Night" patients are directed to park in the well-lit, newly renovated garage on Palm Avenue, in a designated parking space near the secured entrance. They also receive an escort to and from their MRI appointments.

Patients must be pre-authorized by their insurance provider before being scheduled for an MRI scan, whether during regular business hours or for "MRI at Night." For more information, call 904.202.8260.
