Mark Slyter, FACHE
Administrator
Mark F. Slyter, FACHE, has been Administrator of Baptist Medical Center Beaches (Baptist Beaches) since August 2005. He came to Jacksonville in 2003, joining Baptist Health as Vice President, Operations.
He earned both his Bachelor of Science degree and his master's degree in Health Services Administration from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas, before beginning his health care career in the Greenville Hospital System in Greenville, South Carolina. After serving as Administrator of Hillcrest Hospital for four years, Slyter assumed additional duties as Administrator of Patewood Medical Campus, also part of the the Greenville Hospital System.
Slyter is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and served as the President of ACHE Upstate South Carolina's Healthcare Executive Group in 2002. He also was a member of the Leadership Jacksonville class of 2004-05.
A resident of Jacksonville Beach, Slyter is actively involved in the local community and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Jacksonville Beach Chamber of Commerce, the Ponte Vedra Chamber of Commerce, and Fleet Landing in Atlantic Beach. He is a member of the Exchange Club and has assumed the role of Assistant Chairman of the volunteer Medical Services Committee for the annual Players Championship golf tournament.
Ann Hollander
Assistant Administrator, Patient Services
Ann Hollander, RN, MSA, CNAA, BC, has been in her current position since May 1989. She has operational accountability for Medical/Surgical Nursing, Critical Care, Progressive Care, Surgical Services, the GI Lab, Emergency Department, Obstetrics, Pharmacy, Cardiac Services, Respiratory Therapy, Education, Social Services/Case Management/Utilization Review, and Infection Control.
Mrs. Hollander graduated from Florida Junior College (now Florida Community College of Jacksonville) with an Associate of Science and Arts degree in Nursing. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of the State of New York and her Master of Science degree in Administration from the University of Central Michigan.
Prior to coming to Baptist Medical Center Beaches, Mrs. Hollander served in several capacities, including pioneering the first Cardiac Rehabilitation program in Jacksonville at Jacksonville General Hospital (now Specialty Hospital Jacksonville), where she also developed an Outpatient Surgical Department and Case Management Department. In addition, she served as Director of Marketing and Physician Liaisons for the hospital. She also worked as a Clinical Practice Instructor for Cardiovascular Nursing at St. Vincent's Medical Center, where she also worked as Nurse Manager of the Emergency Department.
Mrs. Hollander is board certified in nursing administration (advanced) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. In 2005, she was among those recognized as the 2005 Great 100 Nurses of Northeast Florida.
