BLS for Healthcare Providers
Designed for licensed healthcare workers providing direct patient care in clinical settings. Provides training for one and two man adult, infant and child CPR, relief of airway obstruction, and automated external defibrillation. Successful completion provides BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
BLS Retrain
Offers the opportunity to update skills and maintain current certification.
ACLS
Covers advanced treatment and patient management during and after cardiac arrest. Prerequisite is current BLS certification. Successful completion provides ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Heart Saver CPR
Open to anyone interested in learning adult and infant/child one-man CPR and relief of airway obstruction techniques. Intended for laypersons that may require certification for their workplace (such as daycare workers, fitness instructors, educators, marine captains). First Aid may be added as an optional component to this class.
Diabetes Education/Nutrition Counseling
Baptist Medical Center Beaches offers a monthly
diabetes program taught by dietitians and registered
nurses certified in diabetes education. The series of
four two-hour classes is appropriate for both newly
diagnosed patients and those who have been living
with the disease.

SafeSitter Class
A comprehensive eight-hour babysitting course designed for 11-14 year olds that includes training
in child-care skills, first aid, home safety, accident prevention, and response to
emergencies. Offered several times per year. Call Community Relations at
