Volunteens

Join the Volunteen Program at Baptist South for 15-17 year olds. The program will offer two four-week programs where Volunteens will work side by side with Volunteers and Staff, develop leadership skills, learn about the medical field and obtain valuable work experience.

Volunteens will work two days each week, either Monday and Tuesday or Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. during the weeks of June 15 - July 6 OR July 20 - August 10.

Those individuals who are selected for the program will work with one department for a four-hour shift in the mornings, have a 30 minute break for lunch including a meal voucher to our cafe, and will work in a second department for a four-hour shift in the afternoon. This schedule will give them exposure to two different areas of the hospital. Departments that host Volunteens include: Emergency services, dietary, patient care units, laboratory, labor/delivery/postpartum/recovery, medical records, security, operating room, education, imaging, registration, and more.
