Brown has worked as a medical physicist for nine years. He began his career at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor before joining Mayo Clinic Jacksonville as a junior medical physicist. He came to Baptist Cancer Institute in 2003, where he serves as chief medical physicist and Gamma Knife physicist.
Brown is a member of the American Association of Medical Physicists in Medicine, and serves as a captain in the Air National Guard in Florida in Bioenvironmental Engineering.
