A board-eligible neurological surgeon, Wallace earned his doctorate degree in Neuroscience from Université Joseph Fourier in Grenoble, France, and his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. He completed his neurological surgery residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville, and his fellowship in functional and stereotactic neurosurgery at Centre Hospitalier Universitaire, in Grenoble, France. Most recently, he served as a faculty member in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
He is widely published in his areas of interest, particularly in the field of neurosurgical treatment of movement disorders such as Parkinson's disease, along with meningiomas and microsurgery of the spine.
