Baptist Health provides a full range of hospital-based services.

Emergency Room Evaluations
Registered nurses and masters-level mental health evaluators provide level-of-care evaluations 24 hours a day, with appropriate referrals or admissions based on the patient's psychiatric needs identified while in the Emergency Center of Baptist Medical Center.

Adult Chemical Dependence Detox Inpatient Unit
The six-bed unit located at Baptist Medical Center treats patients whose alcohol or drug abuse has reached a crisis point and has begun to seriously affect their health and well-being.

Adult Inpatient Unit
This 31-bed unit treats individuals suffering from mood or thought disorders. This unit has treatment programs specifically designed to assist patients toward a complete recovery.

Adult Intensive Care Unit
This eight-bed unit located at Baptist Medical Center specializes in the delivery of care to adult psychiatric patients at risk for suicide, violence, or elopement, or whose psychosis is so extensive that it prevents the patient from caring for himself in a less restrictive environment.

Child/Adolescent Psychiatric Inpatient Unit
Located at Wolfson Children's Hospital, this unit is divided into two parts: one for patients ages six to 11 years old and another for patients ages 12 to 17 years old. Patients in the unit are experiencing acute emotional problems that disrupt their ability to function in life.

Partial Hospitalization Programs
Baptist Health's partial hospitalization programs operate Monday-Friday, 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, and the Intensive Outpatient Program is available with day and evening hours. Partial Hospitalization Programs are offered in adult psychiatric care, adult dual diagnosis, and chemical dependence.
