The Women's Board Gives Wolfson Children's Hospital More than $2 Million
On May 22, 2008, The Women's Board presented a check to Wolfson Children's Hospital for $2,008,218.98 at Wolfson's Board of Directors meeting. The funds will go toward Children's Surgical Services and the Children's Emergency Center at Wolfson.
The expanded Children's Emergency Center serves more than 45,000 children who are treated in the emergency room each year. Surgical services provides surgery to 98 percent of the children in our region and does more than 10,000 surgeries annually.
The Women's Board of Wolfson Children's Hospital is a volunteer organization whose mission is to further community awareness of Wolfson Children's Hospital's services and facilities and to raise money to ensure the finest pediatric healthcare is available. and the
Florida Forum
, which are two of Jacksonville's most popular cultural events.
