Professional Scholarship Program
The Professional Scholarship program for the hospitals of Baptist Health originated in the late 1980s when a group of interested physicians and the Baptist Health Foundation developed a golf tournament, supported by "host" physicians, community leaders and sponsors, to raise money for scholarships to help fill staffing needs. The Mercedes-Benz Scholarship Golf Classic was conceived and has raised more than $1 million since its inception 17 years ago.
The Foundation interviews applicants three times a year. Application deadlines are January 15, May 30 and September 30 of each year. For further information please call the Foundation at 904.399.4467 or e-mail
